COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
LAMP, INCANDESCENT
(TRADE NO. 100A/RS/TF, 100A21/RS/SL or 10021/RS/VS/STCM)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This description covers a rough service incandescent lamp with a special thermal and mechanical shock resistant rating.
Salient characteristics:
A-21 bulb with special outside silicone coating
Medium screw brass base
Watts- 100
Volts- 115/125
Filament design- C 17, C 17A or C 9 with seven supports
Maximum overall length- 5-5/16 inches
Average rated life- 1,000 hours
The lamp has an outside coating that reduces bulb breakage from thermal or mechanical shock to exposed bulbs.
The bulb shall be tested for conformance to salient characteristics in accordance with the applicable test method provisions in Federal Specification W-L-101.
Workmanship. The lamp shall not have bent contacts, slight or complete discoloration of the coating, small bubbles in the glass, cracked glass, peeled coatings, and open or shorted filaments.
The issue of W-L-101 in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with these requirements.
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
