The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This description covers a clear Tungsten-Halogen incandescent lamp for airport runway use.

The lamp shall be in accordance with ANSI C78.260
Workmanship. The lamp shall not have bent contacts, slight or complete discoloration of the coating, small bubbles in the glass, cracked glass, peeled coatings, and open or shorted filaments.
The issue of C78.260 in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with these requirements.
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
