The General Services Administration has authorized the use of
this commercial item description.
This description covers a preheat fluorescent lamp for use with starters with a 425 MA rating.

T-12 bulb, 1-1/2 inch diameter

Rated average rated life in hours at 3 hours per start – 7,500
Lumens, initial – 520
Lumens at 40 percent of rated average life – 415
The fluorescent shall be in accordance with ANSI C78.2
Workmanship. The lamp shall have no defects that affect serviceability or appearance.
The issue of ANSI C78.2 in effect on the date of solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with these requirements
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
