The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.

This description covers an airport runway incandescent lamp.

Average rated life- 75 hours

Approximate initial lumens- 4,900

Burn base down only

Base- medium prefocus

The lamp shall be tested for conformance to the salient characteristics in accordance with the applicable test method requirements of Federal Specification W-L-101.

Workmanship. The lamp shall not have bent contacts, slight or complete discoloration of the coating, small bubbles in the glass, cracked glass, peeled coatings, and open or shorted filaments.

The issue of W-L-101 in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with these requirements.

Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.

Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
