LAMP, INCANDESCENT, T-12, MEDIUM SCREW, 3 CONTACT
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers T-12 incandescent lamps with a
3 contact, medium screw base, which are intended for use as navigational lights. These lamps can be identified by industry number 50/50T12.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Physical characteristics. The lamps shall conform to figure 1 and the following physical characteristics:
Bulb designation T-12
Bulb finish Clear
Base designation Medium screw, 3 contact
Filaments (operated separately)
Primary C-5 (center contact) Secondary C-9 (ring contact) Light center length 3 ± .125 inches
(distance from the center of the light source to bottom base contact) Burn position Burn base down Dimensions (See figure 1)
