The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers S-6 incandescent lamps with a bayonet candelabra base. These lamps can be identified by the industry number 6S6DC(120).
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Physical characteristics. The lamps shall conform to figure 1 and the following physical characteristics:
Bulb designation S-6
Bulb finish Clear
Base designation Bayonet candelabra, double contact
Light center length 1.062 inches
(distance from the center of the light source to the top of base pin) Dimensions (See figure 1)
