Threads shall be in accordance with FED STD-H28.

Intended use - aircraft instrument and indicator assemblies.

For design feature purposes, this specification takes precedence over procurement
documents referenced herein.
5.
Qualification by similarity - Lamp M6363/7-3 is required to be fully qualified in
accordance with table I of MIL-DTL-6363. All other lamps may be granted qualification
by similarity and extension of qualification from M6363/7-3 with no additional testing.
Red lamp M6363/7-1R may be granted qualification status based upon qualification
approval of the -3R lamp. Refer to MIL-DTD-6363 for conditions and data requirements
for qualification.
REQUIREMENTS:

Configuration and dimensions: See figure 1.
2.
Finish: Glass globe finish shall be as indicated in table I. Red lamps shall conform to
MIL-C-25050 for instrument and panel lighting red.

Lamp operating characteristics: When operating at rated voltage, the lamp operating
characteristics shall be as specified in table I.

Coating adhesion: Applicable to exterior coated colored lamps.
High temperature: Applicable for qualification tests only (85°C/185F°).

Thermal shock: Applicable for qualification tests only. Use temperatures for Type I
lamps..
