HEADLAMP, SEALED BEAM, 12 VOLT (Trade No. 6015)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for MS18009 which is canceled.
1. Abstract. This commercial item description covers one type and size of headlsmp. It is a heavy duty, round, sealed beam, 12 volt headlsmp. The lighting device provides upper and lower beam light used to illuminate the road and its environment ahead of the vehicle.
2. Salient characteristics.
2.1 Headlamp. Unless otherwise specified herein, the salient characteristics and markings for the sealed beam headlsmp shall conform to SAE J1383.
2.2 Materials. The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.5).
2.3 Characteristics. The physical and electrical characteristics of the headlamp are as follows:
